Lanre Odugbemi Back With A Movie Titled

After sojourning abroad from some years, Lanre Odugbemi is back into the country with a new movie initiative. The producer whose films are Tale leyi, Kosomo Na and Ijalo told Arts Dome that he was ready to make a good impression on the movie industry with his new work, The Bone of my Flesh.

According to him, the new work, a soap opera, is about a 40-year-old unemployed man who after unsuccessfully searching for job, meets the daughter of a minister and wants to use her to gain financial freedom under the pretence of love.

Odugbemi also known as Sauddy, said, ‘‘With The Bone of my Flesh, I am doing something different. I am known more as a producer of films bordering on crimes in the society with a view to checking them. But this time, I want to project a new work which is a soap opera on crimes, love and passion. It is full of suspense and well narrated in a moving manner. ’’

He also said the soap opera which is at an advanced stage, would be shown on cable televisions and local channels across the country.

Omone Iyinomen who plays the role of the minister’s daughter (Lola Doherty) also told Arts Dome that she finds the role interesting and ‘full of life.’

The production directed by Gboyega Oyeniya and Babatunde Hector, will run 36 editions. Some of those who featured in it are Taiwo Balofin, Dupe Ayeni and Aisha Ibrahim among others.
