Nigerian Afropop star, Ayo ‘Wizkid’ Balogun,  won three awards at the 2017 Billboard Music Awards, which held at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, United States, on Sunday.

 Wizkid, by virtue of his contribution to ‘One Dance’, Drake’s global hit song which also features Kyla, received seven nominations in this year’s event to be the first Nigerian to achieve such a feat.

He won three from these nominations.

He won the “Top Hot 100 song”, “Top R&B song” and “Top R&B Collaboration”.
