DPR inaugurates 63-man committee

In a deliberate attempt to monitor the fuel supply distribution and guide against fuel diversion, marketeering, and other related offenses, the Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR) in collaboration with the Kwara state government has constituted a 63-man joints security task force committee.

The committee among the federal security agencies include Nigeria police force, Nigerian civil defense corps, state security service, immigration and Nigerian custom service

While speaking, the chairman of the joints task force who is also the operational controller of DPR in the state, Salvation Philips said, the inauguration is imperative due to recent challenges facing the petroleum sector.

The DPR boss also charged the committee to shun any act of corruption and discharged their duties without bias.

He, therefore, urged the citizen against panic buying and assured them of adequate monitoring with regulated prices.
