The Senate has received a request from President Muhammadu Buhari for the confirmation of Dr. Kingsley Isitua Obiora as Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria CBN.

Galaxy’s Godfrey Eshiemoghie reports that this request is contained in a letter addressed to the Senate President, Ahmad Lawan, and dated January 16, 2020.

The Senate also received a request from the President seeking the confirmation of Professor Adeolu Akande (South West) as Chairman, and Mr. Uche Onwude (South East) as Member of the Nigeria Communications Commission NCC Board.

In a related development, the Senate on Tuesday received a request for the confirmation of Captain Musa Shuaibu Nuhu as Director-General for the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority NCAA.
