Customs CG clamours for review of salary structures

Following the salary increment announced by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Nigeria Customs Service has clamored for a review of salary structure of its officers, serving and retired according to the state of economy of the Nation.

Comptroller General of the Service, Adewale Adeniyi made the revelation at the Customs Wives Association Outreach and humanitarian support to widows of fallen heroes in commemoration of international family day held in Abuja, on Wednesday.

Galaxy TV reports that Adeniyi disclosed that the past review was done in 2019, which needs urgent intervention, calling on President Bola Tinubu to help in hasten of the review in order to boost the morale of officers and reflect the reality on ground.

Speaking about the families of the service fallen Heroes, the CG pledged to always show support to them and also to cater for their needs and all that concerns them.
He assured that NCS will take conscious efforts with the resources they have and make strong case with Federal Government to upgrade the welfare of all widows.

Also speaking at the event, President, Customs Wives Association, Kikelomo Adeniyi pleaded with Federal Government not neglect the families of fallen heroes across the Nation.
She promised that, the association will continue to support the widows with whatever it could afford, especially in taking care of the education of the Children left behind.

A representative of the Beneficiaries commended the Comptroller General of Customs and the President of COWA for the families of deceased officers.
