Dickson cautions FG against politicizing NDDC

Bayelsa state governor, Seriake Dickson has cautioned the federal government against what he described as using the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC)'s contracts, in the promotion of political interests in the state.

He gave the caution in Yenagoa, the state capital while inaugurating a seven man committee saddled with the responsibility of verifying NDDC and federal government contracts in the state.

Speaking at the government house EXCO chambers, Governor Dickson stressed that the NDDC must not be used as a conduit pipe.

Speaking further, he called on the NDDC to work with Bayelsa state government to promote industrialization, while the committee chairman assured the governor of efficiency.

It will be recalled that the Bayelsa state governor had accused the director of the NDDC during his visit to the government house of awarding contracts to members of the ruling party without due process, with the director denying any wrongdoing.
