FG seeks bilateral collaboration with UK

Minister of Information and Culture Lai Mohammed said Nigeria has made progressive improvement in doing business in the country and seeks more collaboration between Nigeria and the United Kingdom.


 

Lai Mohammed said this when British High Commissioner to Nigeria, Paul Arkwright paid a courtesy visit to him in Abuja.

The Information and Culture Minister, Lai Mohammed said that this administration has set up Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council (PEBEC), which has approved a 60-day national action plan with the aim of aiding business in the country.

He equally talked on channels of collaboration between Nigeria and UK in areas of Digital Switchover and Ease of doing business.

Minister of Information and Culture Correspondent Onuora Aninwobodo reported that the British High Commissioner to Nigeria, Paul Arkwright said that Britain has a good exchange of views and idea with Nigeria on tourism, creative industry, and preservation of cultural heritage.

He equally said that UK can provide ideas on protection of intellectual property among others in Nigeria.

Recall that the national action plan of the Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council focuses on reforms that will help improve Nigeria’s rankings in World Bank Doing Business Index 2018.

The council has equally approved a 60-day national action plan with the aim of aiding business in the country.
