Former Governor, Lamido Says Nigeria is Bleeding

A former Governor of Jigawa State and Chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Sule Lamido, has lamented the insecurity in Nigeria, saying the country is bleeding.

Lamido met with a former President of Nigeria, Olusegun Obasanjo, behind closed doors at Presidential Library (OOPL) Pent House residence, Abeokuta, Ogun State at the weekend.

A statement made available to newsmen on Sunday in Abeokuta by Obasanjo’s Media Aide, Kehinde Akinyemi, quoted Lamido as saying that the former president had reinforced his faith in Nigeria despite its numerous challenges.

He said Obasanjo still remained committed to ensuring that Nigeria is out of the doldrums.

The former governor, who disclosed that he was in Ogun to visit his father and leader, said he met the former president in a very high spirit and good health.
