Gov. Ajimobi charge Nigerians to exhibit service to mankind

Political leaders in Nigeria and others at the helm of affairs have been advised to make service to humanity their watchword in order to ensure rapid development of the country.



This is the message of various speakers at the ground finale of the 2018 Armed Forces Remembrance Day held at the War memorial Arcade in ibadan, the oyo state capital where Governor Abiola Ajimobi led other service chiefs in the state to lay the wreaths of remembrance.

Correspondent Kunle Ojo reports that Governor Abiola Ajimobi and the General Officer Commanding 2 Division, Chukwunedum Abraham charged Nigerians to exhibit service to mankind if the country must develop.

Other speakers at the event noted that the celebration is significant as it revives the memory of those that laid down their lives for unity and progress of Nigeria.

Highpoint of the event is the layin of wreaths by Ajimobi and other service chiefs including widow of one of the soldiers that died in the battle, prayers for the departed and the gun salute.
