As Nigerians join the rest of the world on Saturday, December 9, to celebrate the 2017 world day against corruption, the Independent Corrupt Practices and other Related Offences (ICPC) has urged Nigerians to continue to hold their leaders accountable.

Various speakers at the event organised by the anti corruption agency in Oyo state urged Nigerians while celebrating the world day against corruption.

The officials of the state office of ICPC and members of the National Anti Corruption Volunteer Course took the awareness campaign against corruption and other related issues across major parts of Ibadan, the capital city of the state.

The sensitization campaign took off from the office of the anti Corruption against in old Bodija area and moved through Awolowo avenue, Agodi, Mokola and other parts of the state capital.

The ICPC commissioner for Oyo and Ogun states, Stephen Pimor says Nigerians must be ready to hold their leaders accountable if the anti-corruption crusade must be successful.

While appreciating the support of all relevant stakeholders in Oyo and Ogun states for the activities of the anti graft agency, Pimor assured that the agency will continue to carry out its mandate without any fear or favour.

Other members of the National Anti Corruption Volunteer Course disclosed that all Nigerians must join the crusade against corruption in order to sustain the dreams of the founding fathers of the country.

They lauded the contribution of the ICPC in their attempt to ensure a corrupt free Nigeria.
