Ngwom IDPs returns home

The ministry of rehabilitation reconstruction and relocation have successfully returned Internally displaced persons to their villages in Ngwom local government area of Borno state.


In collaboration with the UN, the ministry of RRR also Flagged off tree planting in the local area to curb erosion and environmental hazards.
 
The commissioner of the ministry, Umara Babagana, while relocating the victims of insurgency to their ancestral homes disclosed that the state government has been tireless in its efforts to ensuring adequate security to all citizens despite the recent upsurge of insurgency in the state.
 
Similarly, the commissioner flagged off tree planting in Ngwom to encourage afforestation in the erosion prone local government area.
 
He said the ministry will provide tree plants to all residents for planting while monitoring the progress of the program.
