NNPP Berates INEC From Recognizing Congresses From Kwankwaso’s Group

Counsel to the founder of the New Nigeria People Party, Barr. Monday Marwa has berated the Independent National Electoral Commission for been part of the alleged illegal congresses organized by the Kwankwaso group across the country.

Speaking to newsmen in Abeokuta, the Ogun state capital, Barrister Marwa said despite the expulsion of the dissolved executives loyal to the Kwankwaso group planned to hold congresses and a mid term convention challenged the action in court.

The legal practitioner said the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) as a law abiding political platform approached the Federal High Court in Abuja and was assigned before Hon. Justice Egwatu and the case fixed for the 16th of April.
He said despite writing to INEC on the pendency of the suit and the need to avoid participating from the congresses, INEC still went ahead.
He equally called on the National Headquarters of INEC not to accept any of the candidates coming from Kwankwaso group from different States

Speaking further, the legal practitioner said despite all the processes filled and received, INEC ignored and still went ahead supervising congresses.
He however called on president Tinubu to call the hierarchy of INEC to do the right thing and obey the rule of law as the matter is in court.
