Ogun Police Dismiss Alleged Invasion of Wole Soyinka' Residence by Herdsmen

The Ogun state police command has dismissed claims in some quarters that criminal herdsmen allegedly invaded the Ijegba home of the Nobel  Laurette, Prof Wole Soyinka with herds of cattle in Abeokuta, the Ogun state capital

The state Commissioner of Police, Edward Ajogun during an on the spot assessment tour to the residence corroborated claim by the herder, Awal Mumini that three cows indeed strayed into the compound of the erudite scholar

A source through the social media had earlier yesterday claimed that an invasion  was made into the home of the Nobel Laurette when the incident happened

While giving an assurance of adequate protection of life  and property, the state commissioner of police describing the alleged invasion as not willful  but a trespass on the part of the herder
