APC postpones NEC meeting

The ruling party All Progressives Congress (APC) has postponed a meeting of it national caucus and National Executive Committee earlier scheduled to hold on Monday, April 24 and Tuesday April 25.


 

The meetings which were postponed indefinitely have increased the speculations that all is not well with the part and it leadership.

A statement released by the party’s publicity secretary, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi revealed the meetings were postponed due to some unexpected circumstances. He said “The National Caucus and National Executive Committee (NEC) meetings of the All Progressives Congress (APC), scheduled for April 24 and 25, 2017, respectively have been postponed. The postponement is due to unexpected developments. New dates for the meetings will be communicated in due course.”

In another development, a meeting of the National Working Committee of the party and its Governors failed to hold yesterday as planned as the meeting was cancelled to allow members of the committee and Governors attend the NEC meeting.
