A Federal High Court sitting in Lagos has ordered that the account of the wife of the former president, Dame Patience Jonathan be unfrozen.

The account of the former First Lady was frozen on the order of Justice Mojisola Olatoregun in December 2016 following an application for an interim order made by Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

The EFCC had requested the Judge to grant the affidavit to enable the agency investigate the account which was suspected of retaining proceeds of crime.
