Edo PDP Protest Supreme Court Ruling on Imo
Peoples Democratic Party in Edo state have reinforced call by its national body for the supreme court to reverse its earlier judgement which sacked Emeka Ihediaho and declared Senator Hope Uzodinna as the winner of the governorship election held in March 2019.

The state chapter of the party made this known during a protest march by members and leaders of the party who walked through some major streets in Benin city before converging at the secretariat of the Nigeria Union of Journalist (NUJ) to register their displeasure over the judgement.

They want the supreme court to reverse its earlier judgement and get their Party's candidate, Emeka Ihediaoha reinstated as the Governor of Imo state stressing that Nigerians have suffered undue hardship during elections while appealing to president Muhamadu Buhari to see the need and exigency of signing the electoral act amendment bill which will substantially eliminate electoral malpractices, expressing fears that the 2020 Edo Governorship election will also fall below acceptable standards.
