Groups urge Nigerians to vote not fight

Groups have launched voter education campaign in Kaduna ahead of the 2019 general election tagged; vote not fight.


They said the campaign is aimed at enlightening Nigerians, especially youth on the need to avoid acts that are capable of causing violence in the 2019 election.

One of the organizers of the voter education campaign and the executive director, One Project Africa (OPA), Zigwai Ayuba said the rationale behind the campaign is to enlighten and sensitize the youth across the country to shun vote selling, hate speech and fake news in order to ensure peaceful conduct of the forthcoming general election.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), on their part had assured Nigerians that it is well prepared to conduct free, credible and fairest election comes 2019.

Also the state director, National Orientation Agency (NOA) Kaduna state, Galadima soba stressed the need for all Nigerians to participate actively in the electoral processes, saying it is the only way to entrench good governance and better future for the youth.

The Kaduna state commissioner of police, had his representatives present at the event .
