INEC express readiness for Bayelsa election

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has expressed its readiness to conduct a free, fair and credible election come November 16 Governorship election in the state.


 

This was made known by the INEC National Commissioner in-charge of Bayelsa, Edo and Rivers state Mrs May Agbamuche-Mbu during the official presentation of voter registration to the 45 political parties contesting the elections in the state.

Speaking at the meeting, the INEC National Commissioner stressed on the total number of registered voters for the November 16 Governorship elections.

She said that the use of the Permanent Voters Card is mandatory for the elections as over eight hundred thousand PVCs have been distributed across the state.

In attendance at the stakeholders meeting were representatives from the forty-five registered political parties in the state.
