Obasanjo Denies Having Issues With Jonathan

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has declared that he has no misunderstanding with President Jonathan adding that he was ready to support any leader that will promote peace, unity and progress of Nigeria.

Obasanjo, who spoke in Abeokuta in his Presidential Hilltop while receiving a delegation of Concerned Women in the Southwest Led by the Iyalode of Yorubaland, Alaba Lawson said his concern is about how to return Nigeria to the path of glory again.

Our Correspondent reports that the former President said he has no issue or single misunderstanding with the president over any matter but maintained that his pre-occupation is on how to make Nigeria great.

It will be recalled that there has been a perceived strain relationship between Obasanjo and the President since the former quit as the Chairman, Board of Trustee of the Peoples Democratic Party.

Not only this, the planned visit of Jonathan to Obasanjo in Abeokuta last week was abruptly called off.

He added that he was ready to die for the course of Nigerian ‎and was ready to support any leader that will promote the course of unity, progress and development of the country adding that, good governance  has great implication for country's economy, as such he would not compromise on such for any candidate.

Obasanjo asserted that he had no fears on the success of the general elections, stressing that contrary to views in some quarters, he had no personal animosity with President Goodluck Jonathan.
