Liverpool are monitoring Spartak Moscow striker Emmanuel Emenike ahead of the summer transfer window.

Emenike is seen as a potential replacement for the prolific forward Luis Suarez, who is being courted by clubs abroad.

Barcelona and Manchester City have sounded moves for Suarez, who would be a big loss to Liverpool if he were to leave.

Arsenal and Reading have also been credited with an interest in Emenike, and have sent scouts to see him play.

According to Russian paper Izvestia, Emenike has a price tag of £10m.

Emenike, they say, has become a reliable performer at Spartak and has seen his stock rise.

This was evident at the Africa Cup of Nations where he scored four goals.

He has scored seven goals in all competitions for Spartak this season.
