NDDC Seeks Involvement Of Traditional Rulers In Protection Of Oil Assets.

The Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC Rivers State office has revealed that the State has no fewer that nine hundred and fifty three abandoned projects of the Commission across the State.

The State Representative Tony Okocha disclosed this during an interactive section with traditional rulers to find out why the projects are uncompleted.
He says Rivers State is second in the States which have NDDC abandoned projects, and stressed that the current NDDC Board will disabuse the minds of the public on their perception of interventionist agency by changing the narrative.

Also the director of finance boma iyaye call on the traditional rulers in various communities to join hands in the fight against oil theft by giving adequate information to security agencies.

The Chairman of the Rivers State Traditional Rulers Council in his remarks, commended the Rivers State Representative in the NDDC Board for initiating the interactive session.

Some traditional rulers call on the federal government for traditional rulers and community inclusiveness when awarding contract and project in the community for better supervision
