Police parade suspects for selling Naira

The Kwara state police command has paraded fourteen suspects for allegedly selling and hawking naira notes.

While parading the suspects at the state command' headquarter, the police public relations officer in the state, Ajayi Okasanmi noted that they were arrested after a tip-off from members of the public.

He advised the public to desist from spraying naira notes during social events as the police will soon clamp down on such people.

Ajayi also warns those who engage in illegal money changing to stop the act as the police will soon go after them

However, Ajayi advised the public to approach the bank if there is any need of naira notes instead of patronizing illegal bodies.
One of the suspects claimed ignorance of the law against the selling of naira notes, adding that they were employees who charge various sums on
denominations being sought by customers.
