Bayelsa State Governor Seriake Dickson has charged the Ministerial designate from the state Timipre Sylva to ensure he protects the interest of all Bayelsans in the discharge of his duties.

The Governor made the disclosure at the government house in Yenagoa during a meeting with journalists and members of his executive council.

Speaking on the person of the minister, Governor Dickson said the former Governor deserves his nomination despite their disagreement on local issues.

On his preferred candidates for Saturday's local government elections in the eight council areas, he said only those who can take the state to greater heights should be voted for.
