Rights Activist Blast INEC Over Elections Postponement

More reactions have continued to trail the postponement of the general elections by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Chairman professor Attahiru Jega, citing security issues and logistics.

Our correspondent Dele Fasan spoke with some Delta based rights activist and social critics who expressed different views over the postponement.

Speaking on the postponement, a rights activist and National coordinator Conference for the Actualization of Human Rights Ogedegbe Omemiroro , blame INEC and the ruling party for having no basis for the postponement, and that it is not justifiable.

Also speaking, some social critic commended the gesture, and call on INEC to text-run the card readers before the elections.

Meanwhile, at the various PVC's collection centres in Warri Delta state, people still visit the centres for collection, while a large numbers of them are yet to be collected.
